AHFP’s motto is “TRUST us for the Perfect Pint.” Its mission is to provide consumers with great-tasting draft beer, served the way the brewmaster intended, and to grow draft beer sales. The Beer Technician, also referred to as a Draft Beer Quality Technician (DQT), cleans and services draft beer lines so local bars and restaurants can serve high-quality draft beer. A typical day involves visiting customer locations to maintain draft beer systems and building relationships with managers, owners, and bartenders along an assigned route. AHFP provides training in draft beer system operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting; previous experience is not required. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nights, early mornings, and weekends are not scheduled, though regular overtime opportunities are available. The salary starts at $20.00, with growth opportunities and overtime hours. A personal, reliable vehicle is required, and AHFP reimburses mileage at $0.72 per mile.
