About The Position

The Beauty Stylist drives beauty sales across all brands by using demonstration and artistry techniques and recommending products suited to each customer. This role is focused on delivering personalized, one-on-one customer service in a commissioned sales environment. The schedule varies by week according to business needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Beauty industry experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling, using selling tools including text and social media.
• Keep up with industry trends and product knowledge to maintain expertise.
• Start service consultations with open-ended questions to understand customers’ preferences and needs.
• Build customer relationships by following up on purchases, suggesting products, and inviting customers to upcoming events.
• Grow sales through appointment-based selling, technology, and opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
• Create store events and network in the community.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors across Beauty brands to identify key priorities and products.
