About The Position
As a member of the Nordstrom Beauty Department, the Beauty Sales employee creates personalized beauty experiences and engages customers to understand their needs while maximizing sales in luxury and on-trend beauty brands. The role involves sharing knowledge of makeup, skincare, and beauty trends, building customer relationships in-store and digitally, and contributing to a welcoming, inclusive team environment. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. The stated hourly pay range is $21.30–$22.20, with a typical 3% commission for Beauty sales roles; pay and offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits eligibility may depend on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools, including text and social media.
- Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
- Keep up with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
- Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
