About The Position

The Beauty Sales role in Nordstrom’s Beauty Department creates personalized beauty experiences and helps customers feel their best. The position engages customers to understand their needs and maximize sales for on-trend and luxury beauty brands. Beauty Sales employees are expected to develop customer relationships in-store and digitally, contribute to a passionate and inclusive team, and stay current on beauty trends and products through Nordstrom and brand-partner training.

Requirements

Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges.
Build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
