About The Position

As a member of Nordstrom’s Beauty Department and beauty community, the Beauty Sales employee creates personalized beauty experiences, engages customers to understand their needs, and maximizes sales for on-trend and luxury beauty brands. The role focuses on makeup and skincare recommendations, customer service, sales across in-store and digital channels, and building lasting customer relationships. Employees receive training from Nordstrom and brand partners to stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge.

Requirements

Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

Responsibilities

Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling, using selling tools including text and social media.
Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services.
Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
Stay informed about beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training from Nordstrom and brand partners.
Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges.
Build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
