About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a sales-oriented Beauty Sales Consultant to serve as the primary beauty advisor for customers in the store’s beauty zone. The consultant provides friendly, knowledgeable, personalized sales service, shares current beauty trends and techniques, recommends products based on customer needs, and works to build lasting customer relationships and sales baskets. The role includes educating customers about product use and benefits, supporting sales programs and promotions, creating and maintaining displays, and keeping the assigned area stocked, well-merchandised, clean, and compliant with hygiene and safety policies. Consultants complete onboarding and ongoing training, meet sales budgets, participate in training meetings and calls, and maintain a professional appearance. The position may require bilingual English and Spanish communication at specific CVS stores. This is a full-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 40. The typical pay range is $19.00–$28.00 per hour, with the actual offer depending on factors such as experience, education, and geography. Requirements

Sales-oriented.
Ability to use sales data and product or brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and quickly learn new procedures.
Availability for a flexible retail schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.
Ability to perform the tasks described in the job posting.
Willingness and ability to perform ear-piercing services in all stores; training and certification are provided.
At least 18 years old.
Ability to stand and/or move through the store for most of the work time; stoop, kneel or crouch; reach or grasp objects, including items on lower shelves; and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.

High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.
Bilingual English and Spanish ability is required for beauty advisor roles at specific CVS stores.

Responsibilities

Engage customers in the beauty zone and provide personalized sales service based on their needs.
Use product knowledge, effective upselling, and suggestive selling to build customer sales baskets and relationships; follow up with customers when appropriate.
Answer customer questions in detail and provide specialized beauty and product advice.
Explain product usage and benefits and use the CVS beauty monthly sampling program to build customer relationships.
Represent company sales programs and events, discuss CVS Beauty Club programs, invite customers to in-store events, and explain promotions to support sales.
Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty promotional materials.
Keep the assigned beauty area stocked, well-merchandised, clean, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Follow CVS policies for tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing.
Complete initial 30/60/90-day onboarding and ongoing training and educational programs.
Execute the sales plan, meet the sales budget, and track progress toward sales goals.
Participate in sales training meetings and conference calls about programs, promotions, products, brand launches, sales goals, and customer care.
Maintain a professional appearance and stay informed about beauty trends, techniques, products, and customer service.
Perform ear-piercing services after company-provided training and certification.
