About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a sales-oriented Beauty Sales Consultant to serve as the primary beauty advisor to customers in the store’s beauty zone. The consultant provides personalized, knowledgeable sales service, shares beauty trends and techniques, recommends products based on customer needs, and works to build strong customer relationships and sales baskets. The role includes educating customers about product use and benefits, participating in sales programs and events, creating and maintaining displays, and keeping the assigned area clean, stocked, merchandised, and compliant with hygiene standards. Consultants follow company policies for tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing. The position includes onboarding and ongoing sales and product training. Consultants execute sales plans, work toward sales budgets, track their progress, participate in meetings and calls about products and promotions, maintain a professional appearance, and continue developing their product knowledge and client-service skills. Ear-piercing training and certification will be provided, and consultants must be willing and able to perform ear-piercing services in all stores.

Requirements

Availability for a flexible retail schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.
Ability to perform the tasks described in the job posting.
Willingness and ability to perform ear-piercing services in all stores; training and certification will be provided.
At least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Prior beauty sales experience.
Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.
Strong passion for beauty.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Bilingual English and Spanish ability is required in specific CVS stores.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized beauty sales service based on customer needs, including upselling, suggestive selling, and follow-up to build lasting customer relationships.
Engage customers entering the beauty zone, listen to their needs, and provide specialized sales advice.
Use verbal communication and product knowledge to answer customer questions and help build sales baskets.
Educate customers about product use and benefits and use the CVS beauty monthly sampling program to build relationships.
Represent company sales programs and events, discuss CVS Beauty Club programs, invite customers to in-store events, and explain promotions.
Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty promotional materials.
Keep the assigned area clean, stocked, well-merchandised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Follow CVS policies for tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing.
Complete initial 30/60/90-day onboarding and ongoing training and education.
Execute the established sales plan, meet the sales budget, and track progress toward goals.
Participate in sales training meetings and conference calls about programs, promotions, new items, brand launches, sales goals, and customer care.
Work to exceed prior sales goals and maximize the sales budget.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company guidelines.
Stay informed about beauty trends and techniques and continue building product knowledge and client-service skills.
Perform ear-piercing services in all stores after training and certification.
Stand or move throughout the store for most of the work time; stoop, kneel or crouch; reach or grasp objects, including items on lower shelves; and perform manual-dexterity tasks.
