Beauty Sales Consultant
About The Position
CVS Health is seeking a sales-oriented Beauty Sales Consultant to serve as the primary beauty advisor to customers in the store’s beauty zone. The consultant provides friendly, knowledgeable, personalized sales service, shares beauty trends and techniques, answers product questions, and helps customers select products that meet their needs. The role includes educating customers about product use and benefits, leveraging the beauty sampling program, participating in sales programs and events, and discussing loyalty programs and promotions. The consultant maintains displays and promotional materials, keeps the assigned area stocked, merchandised, clean, and compliant with hygiene standards, and follows tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool-cleaning policies. The consultant completes onboarding and ongoing training, follows company policies and guidelines, works toward sales budgets and goals, and maintains a professional appearance. The position requires the ability to perform ear-piercing services; training and certification are provided. Some stores require bilingual English and Spanish beauty advisors.
Requirements
- Sales-oriented.
- Ability to use sales data alongside product and brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Goal-driven, with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and learn new procedures quickly.
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.
- Ability to perform the tasks described in the job description.
- Ability and willingness to perform ear-piercing services in all stores; training and certification are provided.
- At least 18 years old.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills are required for beauty advisors in specific CVS stores.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers in the beauty zone and provide personalized sales service based on their needs.
- Use upselling, suggestive selling, and follow-up contact to build customer relationships and increase sales.
- Listen to customers, provide specialized sales advice, and use product knowledge to answer questions.
- Explain product usage and benefits and use the CVS beauty monthly sampling program to build customer relationships.
- Represent company sales programs and events, discuss CVS Beauty Club programs, invite customers to in-store events, and explain current promotions.
- Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and beauty-specific promotional materials.
- Keep the assigned area stocked, well-merchandised, clean, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Follow CVS policies for tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing.
- Complete initial onboarding and ongoing training and education programs.
- Meet the sales budget, track progress, and work to exceed prior sales goals.
- Participate in sales training meetings and conference calls about programs, promotions, new items, brand launches, sales goals, and customer care.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform ear-piercing services after receiving training and certification.
