About The Position

The interim Beauty Counter Manager works in Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, creating personalized beauty experiences and maximizing sales for the assigned beauty brand. The role combines sales and customer education in a commissioned sales environment, with a focus on beauty trends and building a customer following in-store and digitally. The position is expected to run through the beginning of January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media.
• Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize business results.
• Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
• Stay informed about beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through Nordstrom and luxury brand partner trainings.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
