About The Position

As a Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you’ll welcome clients with warmth, confidence, and a passion for beauty. Through personalized consultations and expert product recommendations, you’ll support clients’ confidence journeys and help create an inclusive beauty community. The role involves sharing product knowledge, staying current on beauty trends, contributing to sales goals, and maintaining an inviting store environment. This is a regular, part-time, hourly, non-exempt position at the Santana Row store in San Jose, California.

Requirements

• Previous experience and demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and develop strong client relationships in a retail, hospitality, or client-focused environment.
• Passion for beauty, trends, and empowering confidence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a goal-oriented and inclusive environment.
• Ability to quickly learn and share product knowledge.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Availability during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized beauty consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client’s needs.
• Share product expertise to educate and empower clients.
• Keep up with beauty products, techniques, and trends to provide relevant advice.
• Work toward exceeding sales goals and key performance indicators.
• Support inventory and merchandising, and maintain a clean, organized, welcoming environment.
• Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered and contribute to teamwork.
• Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
• Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours, be available during peak retail operations, and maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
