Beauty Advisor - Full Time
About The Position
As a Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you’ll welcome clients and provide personalized consultations and expert product recommendations. You’ll share beauty knowledge, stay informed about products and trends, and help clients feel confident in their beauty journeys. The role also supports sales goals, store presentation, inventory, and an inclusive, collaborative shopping environment. This is a full-time, regular, hourly non-exempt position at the Sephora Southpoint store in Durham, North Carolina. Full-time employees work 30–40 hours per week and must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours. Availability during peak retail operations—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and punctual, consistent attendance are required.
Requirements
- Previous experience and demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and build strong client relationships in a retail, hospitality, or client-focused environment.
- Passion for beauty, trends, and empowering confidence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a goal-oriented and inclusive environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and absorb and share product knowledge.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized beauty consultations and product recommendations based on each client’s needs.
- Share product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Keep up with beauty products, techniques, and trends to provide relevant advice.
- Work to exceed sales goals and key performance indicators.
- Support inventory and merchandising, and maintain a clean, organized, welcoming environment.
