Full-Time Beauty Advisor, Bloomingdale’s Tysons Corner
About The Position
The Beauty Advisor achieves retail sales goals by providing superior beauty and fragrance service to clients and building client relationships that encourage repeat sales and brand loyalty. The position is based at an assigned retail location selling Guerlain products and includes providing product information, consultations, sales support, and in-store event execution. The advisor maintains a clean, organized, and well-presented counter, manages customer communications and issues, and supports client registration and business development. The role reports to the Counter Manager or Business Manager.
Requirements
- Ability to effectively manage customer expectations and build loyal customer relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- CRT experience and aptitude for learning to access computer-based inventory and order-status details.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office for Windows and Excel.
- Availability that meets the needs of the business.
- Ability to work in a retail environment, including light lifting and standing at a counter.
Responsibilities
- Achieve retail sales goals or annual productivity goals.
- Provide full-range customer service, including product information, sales, and execution of in-store events.
- Communicate with customers in a courteous, cordial, and professional manner.
- Keep the retail counter area and products clean, well-organized, and well-presented.
- Meet retail sales plan objectives and track productivity as determined by the employer.
- Respond to customer requests regarding Guerlain and its product lines.
- Consult with customers on cosmetic shades, skin treatment, makeup application, artistry, and fragrance selection.
- Resolve customer issues and questions by telephone, text, or email, including researching and preparing reply correspondence.
- Maintain the client registration program, sustain customer relationships, and generate new business through regular communication.
- Adhere to all retailer policies and practices.
- Perform special projects, miscellaneous duties, and other job-related activities as dictated by business needs.
