About The Position
The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing service and product expertise to customers in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They create a welcoming, friendly, and engaging atmosphere on the sales floor and prioritize customer needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create an easy, seamless, and enjoyable in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
- Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and using technology proficiently.
- Participate in merchandising and operational requirements.
- Provide makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice.
