About The Position

The BBQ Host interacts directly with customers at the service bars, answering product questions, offering recommendations, and packaging and pricing customers’ orders. The role includes assisting with fish selection, keeping the workstation clean and safe, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the department’s daily needs. This is a seasonal hourly position with weekly pay. Weekends are required, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• The posting lists 1 to 3 years of experience in its education and experience section, although it also says no prior experience is required.
• Knowledge of food preparation.
• Experience cooking.
• Ability to safely use and operate knives, ovens, scales, wrapping machines, steamers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and personable demeanor.
• Ability to follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Frequent standing and walking; occasional pulling, pushing, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
• Occasional exposure to cramped or confined spaces, extreme heat unrelated to weather, and noise.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with fish selection.
• Answer customer questions about products and offer recommendations at the service bar.
• Package and price products ordered by customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain the department’s daily needs.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Safely use and operate kitchen equipment required for daily operations.
