About The Position

Cooks prepare high-quality food items for retail by following established recipes, standards, and procedures. The role involves preparing and reheating food, maintaining product displays, and following health, sanitation, and safety regulations. Cooks also contribute to customer service and the smooth operation of the store, with other duties assigned as needed. The department may be warmer than room temperature because of ovens, fryers, and other production equipment. The role may involve exposure to smoke from grills and grease and oil from fryers. It requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and reaching, including handling loads of up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One to three years of experience.
Knowledge of food preparation.
Safely use and operate rotisserie ovens, fryers, kettles, knives, scales, and other equipment required for the day-to-day operation of the rotisserie department.
Excellent customer service.
Good oral communication skills.
Great work ethic, passion for food, problem-solving ability, self-motivation, reliability, flexibility, and honesty.

Current Culinary Arts student or graduate.
