About The Position

The Bartender provides excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks and food, maintaining brand standards, and keeping the work environment clean and safe. The role operates the point-of-sale system and assists guests with information about the property, local attractions, nightlife, and entertainment. The bartender anticipates guest needs, responds to questions and complaints, and works to create a positive guest experience while following food safety guidelines and applicable laws.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and a stable work history.
• Ability to work an entire shift on your feet at a quick pace.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed, including weekends.
• Knowledge of basic drink recipes, bar equipment, and safety rules for kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot environment and stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to remain composed, calm, and focused under pressure while showing compassion.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably six months of experience in food and beverage service.
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks and food to guests.
• Provide professional, friendly, attentive service; anticipate guest needs, answer questions, respond promptly, and resolve complaints.
• Be familiar with the property, its amenities, and nearby attractions and activities.
• Complete required brand-specific, health, and safety training and follow property brand standards.
• Know fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and prepare and serve food and beverages in compliance with brand standards and applicable laws.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked workspace and serving station.
• Perform other tasks as needed or requested to meet or exceed guest satisfaction.
• Wear the hotel uniform and follow professional grooming standards.
• Stay knowledgeable about the menu, restaurant promotions, and specials.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
