About The Position

The Bartender provides excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks and food, maintaining brand standards, and adhering to food safety guidelines. The role operates the point-of-sale system, keeps the work area clean and stocked, and assists guests with questions about the property, local nightlife, entertainment, attractions, and activities. The bartender anticipates guest needs, responds promptly, and works to resolve complaints and ensure guest satisfaction. The position also requires completing brand-specific and health and safety training, following applicable laws and company standards for beverage service, and maintaining professional appearance and grooming standards.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Stable work history.
• Ability to work an entire shift on one's feet at a quick pace.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed, including weekends.
• Knowledge of basic drink recipes and bar equipment.
• Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to express compassion while remaining composed and to stay calm and focused under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably six months of experience in food and beverage service.
• Previous hospitality industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks and food to guests.
• Provide professional, friendly, attentive service; anticipate guest needs, answer questions, respond promptly, and resolve complaints.
• Know the property's location and amenities, as well as local attractions and activities, to assist guests.
• Complete required brand-specific and health and safety training; follow property standards and understand fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and prepare food and beverages in compliance with brand standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked workspace and serving station.
• Know the menu, restaurant promotions, and specials.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws and company regulations.
• Wear the hotel uniform and comply with professional grooming standards.
• Perform other tasks as necessary or requested to meet or exceed guest satisfaction.
• Represent the property positively and respectfully in a diverse, multicultural environment.
