About The Position

Bartenders at Sunrise #85 provide a welcoming, lively experience in a family-run restaurant that serves guests from opening until late night. They prepare and serve drinks, assist with food service, process guest orders and payments, maintain the bar, and follow company safety, sanitation, and procedural requirements. The role requires courteous guest service, attention to responsible alcohol service, and completing assigned shift duties.

Requirements

• Physically stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Reach, bend, stoop, stir, wipe, and shake drinks vigorously.
• Frequently immerse hands in water.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Speak, read, and write English.
• Read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Request proper identification and manually calculate and determine guests’ ages.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety, sanitation, and procedural training policies.
• Mix liquor and drink ingredients according to company recipes and measurements.
• Serve guests cheerfully and courteously while maintaining a neat, clean, professional image.
• Keep the bar neat, clean, and properly stocked.
• Verify correct drink pricing.
• Serve food according to the Server Job Description requirements.
• Know drink promotions and specials and answer guests’ questions clearly.
• Enter orders accurately and promptly into the POS system.
• Assess guests’ demeanor, identify intoxicated guests, and determine when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guest payments by credit card, cash, or gift card; process transactions accurately in the POS system and deliver correct change promptly.
• Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework.
