About The Position

The Concert and Event Bartender serves beverages to guests in a fast, courteous, and efficient manner. The bartender follows correct billing procedures and provides excellent service in accordance with Company standards. The role includes mixing alcoholic drinks for guests age 21 and older, as required by law.

Requirements

• Partial high school education; must be at least 21 years of age.
• Mathematical skills.
• Excellent sanitation habits.
• Professional appearance.
• Ability to communicate with and attend to guests while providing a high standard of service.
• Ability to pass cash-handling and TIPS training.
• Problem sensitivity and ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
• Ability to stand for the entire workday and move about frequently within the unit.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 10 lbs. regularly, 10–15 lbs. frequently, and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to withstand temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in, and grill areas.
• Ability to read and write work-related documents in English.
• Speech recognition and clarity, including understanding customers and coworkers and speaking clearly in English.
• Ability to communicate verbally with other employees in a fast-paced unit.
• Physical attendance in the unit to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
• Fill drink and food orders taken directly from bar patrons or through servers.
• Pour, mix, and serve drinks according to standard recipes.
• Maintain bar liquor, garnishes, glassware, supplies, and inventory.
• Take payment from customers.
• Check identification of customers ordering alcoholic beverages.
• Clean bar equipment, tools, and supplies, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the liquor room.
• Remain alert to safety issues and report them immediately to a manager.
