About The Position

Juliet Italian Kitchen in the Arboretum is seeking an exceptional seasonal, part-time bartender to assist with holiday parties and events. The bartender provides excellent customer service by mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Candidates should know a wide range of drink recipes and prepare drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste.

Requirements

Communication skills demonstrating friendliness and ease in talking with customers.
TABC certification.
Food Handler certification.
General knowledge of bar drink recipes and enthusiasm for craft.
Quality customer service skills.
At least 3 years of experience in restaurant front-of-house staff and/or bartending.
Ability to work closely with other staff at a consistently fast pace while performing a variety of time-constrained tasks.
Good memory to avoid confusing customer orders and to recall frequent patrons’ faces, names, and preferences.
Basic POS skills for placing orders and generating customer bills.

Responsibilities

Fill drink orders taken directly from patrons at the bar or through servers.
Check customers’ identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcohol and tobacco products.
Prepare mixed drinks accurately; serve bottled or draught beer; and pour wine and other beverages.
Stock and prepare drink garnishes; maintain adequate supplies of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies; and keep the bar area clean.
Collect payments and operate the POS system.
Wash glassware and utensils.
Serve food to customers dining at the bar.
Maintain an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies at the station.
Inform supervisors of inventory shortages.
Serve and interact with patrons.
Operate juicers and other bar-related equipment to mix drinks.
Adhere to the assigned work schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned.
