Bartender (On Call)
About The Position
Culinaire is hiring an on-call Bartender at Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. The Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes setting up and stocking bars, preparing garnishes and beverages, processing orders and payments, maintaining attractive displays, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The Bartender must follow applicable liquor regulations and health and safety standards. The schedule is on call, Sunday through Saturday, with varying hours; more details are provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $6.55 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including rules concerning service to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
- Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
- Greet guests courteously and take or process drink orders.
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control.
- Check guests at the bar for proper identification and respond to guest inebriation as trained.
- Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
- Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly completed.
- Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops, and secure the bank.
- Perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display.
- Wash and sterilize stemware.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
