About The Position

Wolfgang Puck Catering is hiring an on-call Bartender at its Dallas Off Premise location in Dallas, Texas. The position prepares and serves beverages to guests in a bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. Workdays and hours vary according to the event schedule. The fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour. The Bartender sets up and stocks assigned bars, maintains beverage and perishable ingredients, takes and processes drink orders, mixes and presents beverages using standard recipes, and follows portion-control practices. The role also includes checking identification, responding appropriately to guest intoxication, handling payments and cash security, cleaning and organizing the work area, and maintaining an attractive bar display. The employee must follow applicable liquor regulations, company policies, and health and safety practices.

Requirements

Prior catering, banquet, and bar event services experience is required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Follow state, federal, and company liquor regulations, including rules concerning service to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to preserve product quality.
Greet guests courteously and in a friendly manner.
Take or process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Recognize and respond to guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly completed.
Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops; secure the bank.
Perform general cleaning and keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with health and safety standards.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow company policies and procedures, including required protective equipment and safe lifting practices.
