About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is hiring a Bartender for its Food and Beverage team. The role provides hotel guests and servers with quick, efficient beverage service and requires a complete working knowledge of the bar’s products. The bartender prepares and serves wines, spirits, and mixed drinks according to established recipes and Four Seasons standards, and offers service to guests seated at the bar.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Responsible Vendor Permit to serve alcohol.
• Two years of experience in bars; hotel bar experience is preferred.
• Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu, following proper pouring, mixing, and blending methods and established Four Seasons standards.
• Confirm guest orders, including special requests, with lounge servers using the hotel’s point-of-sale system, and verify completed orders against the original order.
• Take and serve orders for guests seated at the bar, describing items’ origins, tastes, and preparation methods.
• Maintain working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnacs, eau-de-vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
• Anticipate guest needs, determine guest satisfaction, make suggestions, and respond promptly and appropriately to concerns and requests.
• Accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, and settle voided checks or complimentary items.
