About The Position

Metz Culinary Management is hiring a Barista to prepare handcrafted hot and cold coffee and tea beverages and provide exceptional customer service in a busy college setting. The role involves preparing and maintaining the beverage station, serving coffee drinks and food items, and supporting daily operations. The company requires background checks and drug screening as part of onboarding. Daily Pay is offered as an optional employee benefit.

Requirements

Previous Barista experience.
Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
SERV Safe Certification.
Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push or pull, and stand without limitation for long periods.
Ability to consistently carry 50 pounds.
Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.
Energetic team-player attitude and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Prepare, stock, and maintain the station throughout the day.
Greet guests and determine their coffee interests and needs.
Explain the coffee drink menu and answer guest questions.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks using prescribed recipes and preparation techniques, as well as pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Use the cash register and accurately handle cash and payment processing.
Work as part of a team, train new team members, and cross-train in other departments.
Complete weekly inventory and order lists.
Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
Perform other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
