About The Position
The Barback supports the Beverage Department at Riverwind Casino by helping maintain beverage inventory and quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Under the guidance of the Bartender, the Barback stocks, cleans, and prepares beverages and supplies; washes glasses and serving equipment; replenishes ice and refrigerated stock; replaces beer kegs; prepares food items for drink preparation; and manages trash. The role also involves maintaining personal health and sanitation standards and reviewing procedures to improve service and safety. The position is part-time and located at Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma. Employees must be at least 21 years old and obtain or be able to obtain the required gaming and Oklahoma liquor licenses. The work involves standing and walking throughout the shift, physical tasks including lifting and carrying supplies up to 75 pounds, moderate to high noise levels, and exposure to cigarette smoke. Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an Oklahoma Liquor License (ABLE).
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of guest service principles and processes.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Mature judgment and professionalism.
- Ability to understand and follow orders.
- Ability to understand written information.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and perform reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Essential hand-eye coordination.
Responsibilities
- Stock, clean, and prepare beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.
- Maintain adequate supplies of bar items and replenish them as needed.
- Wash glasses and serving equipment promptly.
- Stock refrigerating units and replace beer kegs.
- Replenish ice at the bar.
- Clean and polish the bar, counters, shelves, and equipment.
- Prepare food items for drink preparation.
- Manage trash pickup and disposal.
- Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
- Review procedures to improve service and safety.
