About The Position

The Barback supports bar operations at The Hand and The Eye by receiving and replenishing liquor, beer, and wine; delivering food, beverages, and garnishes to the bar; and assisting the bartender as needed. The role also helps maintain the bar and lounge areas, supports opening and closing duties, and performs other assigned tasks. The listed pay is $17.00.

Responsibilities

Receive liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and as needed.
Replenish liquor, beer, and wine at the bar throughout the shift.
Retrieve food items from the kitchen and deliver them to the bar area.
Retrieve beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver them to the bar area.
Set up bottles on the bar, placing top-shelf liquor on the back shelf.
Ensure beer taps are working properly.
Place bar snacks on the counter and keep snacks, napkins, and other supplies stocked throughout the shift.
Assist with assigned opening and closing side work.
Bus tables in the bar area.
Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness in bar and lounge areas, including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors under equipment, and sweeping and mopping service areas and floor mats.
Remove rubbish from receptacles.
Prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist the bartender.
Perform other duties as assigned.
