About The Position

The Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes setting up and stocking the bar, preparing garnishes and other perishables, taking and processing drink orders, mixing and presenting drinks according to standard recipes, handling payments, maintaining an attractive and organized bar, and following applicable liquor, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

Knowledge of liquor laws and applicable regulations for serving alcoholic beverages.
Ability to check guest identification and detect and respond to guest inebriation as trained.
Ability to take and process orders, prepare drinks using standard recipes, and handle payments.

Responsibilities

Follow state, federal, and company liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beverages, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Take or process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Detect and respond to guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly completed.
Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops; secure the bank.
Perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards and keep the work area clean and organized.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
