About The Position

The Barback at The Merchant Room serves guest needs by assisting the Bartender and Lounge Server and completing guest requests. The role supports beverage service and ensures guests receive attentive, prompt service in accordance with Four Seasons standards.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of beverage service or related work experience.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Must possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clear, clean, and set up tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware unobtrusively; greet guests according to Four Seasons standards.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond promptly and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Stock service stations with linens, china, glassware, silverware, and paper goods.
• Fill requisitions for beer, liquor, soda, fruit juices, garnishes, and ice for bartenders.
• Break down, clean, and set up service stations and back-of-house areas.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
• Cut and prepare fruit and other beverage garnishes.
• Assist bartenders in preparing beverages.
