About The Position

Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, operated and owned by TPI Hospitality, is hiring a Barback to help keep the bar stocked, clean, and running smoothly while supporting bartenders and providing excellent guest service. This role is suited to an energetic person who enjoys a fast-paced environment and contributes to a positive team culture. The work may take place in a range of resort restaurant and bar settings: Lah De Dah Restaurant, an open-air beachfront sports bar; License to Chill Restaurant, an open-air venue on the sunset terrace serving from breakfast through late night; 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar, a poolside bar inside the Fins Up! Beach Club; and JWB Grill, a polished but relaxed restaurant on the second floor. Some settings require using stairs to access kitchens; the 5 O'clock Somewhere kitchen is accessible by stairs or elevator.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, and lifting items up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
Punctuality and regular, consistent attendance.
Ability to contribute to a positive team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in barbacking is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with bar opening and closing procedures, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and other supplies.
Check inventory of ice, liquor, wine, and beer, and restock as needed.
Inspect taps and appliances, make minor repairs or adjustments as necessary, and replace kegs when required.
Keep the bar clean by wiping surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and regularly emptying trash.
Follow sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent contamination.
Learn menu items and cocktail recipes to answer customer questions and offer recommendations.
Engage with customers professionally and help ensure a positive guest experience.
Suggest ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of bar operations.
Work collaboratively and communicate with bartenders and other bar staff to coordinate tasks and support smooth operations.
