About The Position

The Bar Porter cleans and maintains the bar area and related appliances, replenishes beverage supplies, and assists guests and bartenders by contacting a designated slot employee when needed. The role includes greeting and communicating with guests in English, stocking the bar and self-service stations, and maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment. Team members are expected to follow the Everyone Greets Everyone policy, attend mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions, meet attendance expectations, and comply with applicable policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires working any day of the week and any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, as well as a reasonable amount of overtime when required. Work takes place inside the casino and may involve smoke, secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights. Physical demands include standing for long periods, maneuvering throughout the property, bending, pulling and carrying stock, lifting up to 50 pounds, and manually pushing up to 300 pounds.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
Must be able to communicate with guests to meet their immediate needs.
Must be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team.
Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and manually push 300 pounds.
Must be able to bend, pull, and carry stock to refrigerators and cabinets.
Ability to stand for long hours and continuously maneuver around the office area and casino property.
Ability to work in smoke-filled areas and areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
Must be able to work a varied schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.
Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of customer service experience in a previous position where direct customer service was the primary job duty is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean bar areas, including mats, floors, sinks, drains, and other bar appliances.
Change soda bibs and stock beverage supplies in designated areas.
Keep work areas clean, sanitary, and free of debris.
Acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with customers who approach the bar.
Stock the bar and self-service station as needed.
Call a designated slot employee when requested by a guest or bartender.
Provide a safe work environment for employees and guests.
Follow the Everyone Greets Everyone policy by proactively acknowledging and greeting guests and fellow team members.
Participate in mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
Meet attendance guidelines and comply with state, federal, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
