About The Position

The Banquets Supervisor assists the Banquet Storeroom Supervisor with the distribution and control of operating supplies and equipment required by Banquet Captains, Banquet Servers, and related departments. The role manages banquet equipment and linen in and out of designated storage areas, safeguards supplies and equipment, and keeps storage and work areas organized and clean. Additional duties include preparing and distributing food labels, issuing equipment according to department policies, disposing of packaging and waste, cleaning or polishing equipment as needed, attending mandatory meetings, and performing other duties assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• Must be able to converse, read, and write in English.
• Basic reading and writing skills to read equipment, linen, and food-label orders.
• Basic mathematical skills to ensure proper delivery amounts and understand quantity sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to lift boxes and materials.
• Must be able to take direction willingly.
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, or bend during a shift of at least 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; the physical requirements also describe frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Some working knowledge or experience in the hotel and restaurant industry.

Nice To Haves

• Some hospitality and/or storeroom or warehouse experience preferred.
• Some experience with an electric hand jack.

Responsibilities

• Control and distribute banquet equipment, linen, and related supplies in and out of banquet storage areas.
• Safeguard operating supplies and equipment in designated storage areas.
• Keep designated storage and work areas clean, organized, and tidy.
• Dispose of waste materials and packaging cleanly and efficiently.
• Prepare and distribute food labels for functions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Issue equipment in accordance with department policies.
• Clean or polish equipment when necessary.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager.
