About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquets Floor Supervisor to supervise and assist with the setup, service, and cleanup of assigned banquet functions. The role ensures quality service and compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness standards. As part of the leadership team, the supervisor guides, supports, and inspires associates, helps resolve issues promptly, and creates a welcoming environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

Prior experience as a server and set-up houseperson is required.

Nice To Haves

One year of supervisory or management experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel with more than 500 rooms is preferred.
A broad understanding of the tourism industry and day-to-day hotel or resort operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

Inspect meeting and banquet function setups against banquet event orders (BEOs).
Supervise and assist with setup of assigned catered functions, ensuring hotel standards are met and advance preparation supports efficient guest service.
Assist the Banquet Manager with creating banquet work schedules and completing banquet wage progress reports.
Supervise and assist with breakdown after functions, ensuring equipment and supplies are stored properly.
Ensure quality of service and compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness standards.
Support and guide associates, resolve issues promptly, and help provide a welcoming environment for guests and associates.
