About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquets Setup Supervisor to supervise and assist with the setup, service, and cleanup of assigned banquet functions. This is a hands-on, fast-paced, physically active role in a dynamic convention environment. The supervisor leads by example, supports and inspires associates, and helps deliver extraordinary guest experiences while maintaining a professional and helpful attitude.

Requirements

• Able to push, pull, lift, stack, and move chairs, tables, staging, and other banquet equipment throughout a shift, including lifting 30 pounds or more.
• Prior experience leading or supervising a team is required.
• Flexible and adaptable with scheduling; shift lengths may vary based on event schedules.
• Able to remain calm, focused, and solution-oriented in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Detail-driven and accountable, with an understanding of the importance of accuracy, safety, and meeting event specifications.

Nice To Haves

• Hospitality or event-related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect meeting and banquet function setups against banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Supervise and assist with setting up assigned catered functions, ensuring hotel standards are met and advance preparation supports efficient guest service.
• Delegate assignments to staff and check the quality of completed work.
