About The Position

SPIRE Hospitality is seeking an on-call Banquets Houseman/Server/Bartender to support banquet and convention services at its hotel near Cincinnati’s Ohio River attractions and the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. The role helps create memorable guest experiences through courteous, professional service and careful event preparation. Responsibilities include setting up banquet tables according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), serving food and beverages, checking on guests, resetting rooms after functions, organizing and replenishing supplies, and maintaining clean, sanitary, functional banquet facilities. The hourly wage is $10.70 plus tips.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of banquet server experience in a similar role; experience with a similar-sized operation is preferred.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, grasp, lift, carry, and transport 50–75 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to use food and beverage equipment.
• Ability to spend most of the shift standing and moving through meeting spaces and kitchen areas.

Nice To Haves

• Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification preferred.
• Experience in a similar-sized operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver thoughtful, engaging, best-in-class service to guests.
• Prepare banquet tables according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Serve food and beverages and revisit tables to refill beverages and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet rooms after each function according to the BEO or other instructions.
• Replenish and properly store condiments and supplies after events.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and functionality of banquet facilities.
