About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Setup associate responsible for setting up, refreshing, tearing down, and maintaining meeting spaces according to resort standards. The role ensures event spaces are arranged according to specifications to create a welcoming, seamless environment for guests and support successful events. Associates are expected to deliver attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous service while maintaining clean and sanitary banquet, pre-function, and storage areas.

Requirements

Be detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Be a team player and willing to help others in the immediate area at short notice.
Be flexible to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

One year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry at a convention center or large hotel property with over 500 rooms.

Responsibilities

Ensure the correct and timely setup of Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions, including meeting rooms, breaks, audiovisual equipment, and other equipment.
Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates, and management.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in banquet function spaces, pre-function spaces, and storage areas, including carpets, floors, walls, walkways, doors, windows, and heating and air conditioning units.
Break down banquet spaces after functions and store equipment and supplies properly.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
