About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquets Set-Up Attendant to help prepare event spaces for functions ranging from weddings and business meetings to large conventions. The role involves setting up and breaking down event spaces, arranging furniture and equipment to match event specifications, and coordinating with the set-up crew, event service staff, and AV team to meet deadlines. The position contributes to welcoming, seamless guest experiences through careful and efficient event preparation.

Requirements

• Availability to work weekend and evening shifts.
• Ability to stack, push, and move banquet equipment throughout the convention center.

Responsibilities

• Set up Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions accurately and on time, including meeting rooms, breaks, audiovisual equipment, and other equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in banquet function spaces, pre-function spaces, and storage areas, including carpets, floors, walls, walkways, doors, windows, and heating and air-conditioning units.
• Break down banquet spaces after functions and store equipment and supplies properly.
• Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates, and management.
