About The Position

The Banquet Set Up Attendant sets up and breaks down banquet rooms for functions at The Essex Resort & Spa. The role includes preparing rooms according to diagrams, maintaining and organizing equipment and storerooms, keeping the work environment clean and sanitary, and providing courteous assistance to guests. The attendant must be able to lift 75 pounds and report hazards or broken equipment promptly.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet rooms according to diagrams, including draping tables, arranging tables and chairs, setting up AV equipment, and cleaning rooms.
Break down banquet rooms by removing dirty linens and trash and recycling, vacuuming, and dismantling and storing tables appropriately.
Clean and organize storerooms and manage equipment inventory.
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment and comply with local and state health codes.
Greet guests courteously and display a helpful attitude.
Report hazardous conditions or broken equipment to management immediately; notify the Chief Engineer in an emergency.
Maintain open communication with management and other employees.
Stay organized and work efficiently.
