About The Position
The Banquet Set-up team member at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa prepares event spaces so they are clean, properly arranged, and ready for guests. The role includes setting up tables and chairs according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), maintaining and cleaning banquet rooms, and assisting with guest service and event requirements. The position operates in a 24-hour resort environment and requires schedule flexibility and the ability to work under pressure.
Requirements
- Must be able to work a varied schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work under pressure.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 100 lbs.
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper setup.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and able to produce high-quality, accurate work.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and represent the company in a professional, well-groomed, and courteous manner.
- Ability to obtain any government-required licenses or certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience.
- High school diploma.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and provide customer service as specified by contract.
- Assist with banquet room setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
- Clean and vacuum carpets to maintain banquet facility cleanliness.
- Work reliably in a 24-hour operation and accommodate varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
- Assist with serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
- Organize and restock the linen room and supplies.
- Attend mandatory department meetings and trainings.
- Uphold quality and service standards.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
