About The Position

Sets up and cleans up banquets and meetings while providing customer service. The role prepares meeting and banquet rooms according to function sheets, maintains banquet storage and related areas, assists with banquet service and meeting breaks, performs light maintenance and cleaning, and drives company vehicles for pickups or deliveries. Employees are expected to follow company and property policies, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• No specific knowledge, education, or training is required.
• Ability to read some two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to print and/or speak simple sentences.
• Ability to read, write, and recognize numbers and understand signs and symbols.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions and address problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily and follow proper safety precautions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down meeting and banquet rooms according to function sheets.
• Organize and clean banquet storage, the audiovisual area, linen storage shelves, and the pop/beer cage.
• Clean the beer cooler, back kitchen, banquet bars, and liquor storage rooms.
• Help keep the property clean inside and out as assigned.
• Assist kitchen and banquet wait staff in serving banquets.
• Set up and serve meeting and banquet breaks.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver items.
• Vacuum meeting and banquet rooms.
• Replace light bulbs in meeting rooms.
• Follow company and property policies and safety standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.
• Handle crises calmly and effectively, including upset guests, fires, tornadoes, armed robbery, assault, bomb threats, and accidents.
