About The Position

The Banquet Set-up team member prepares event spaces at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, including arranging tables and chairs, cleaning and vacuuming carpets, and ensuring spaces are guest-ready. The role supports banquet events by following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), coordinating room setup and breakdown, maintaining cleanliness and supplies, and assisting with guest service as needed. The position operates in a 24-hour resort environment and requires schedule flexibility and the ability to work under pressure.

Requirements

• Must be able to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work under pressure.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper setup.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask, produce high-quality and accurate work, and demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.
• Must represent the company in a professional, well-groomed, and courteous manner.
• Ability to obtain any government-required licenses or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and provide customer service in accordance with contracts.
• Assist with maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Clean and vacuum carpets to maintain banquet facility cleanliness.
• Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
• Assist with serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock the linen room and supplies.
• Attend mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
