About The Position

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division is hiring part-time Banquet Servers for Three Leaf Catering and the Morris Inn in the campus Hospitality department. This position assists with banquet event setup and teardown, serves food and pours beverages, and responds to guest requests in accordance with Morris Inn methods and service standards. The role also supports coffee break service at the Notre Dame Conference Center and helps maintain clean, well-functioning work areas and equipment.

Requirements

Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to six hours at a time.
Ability to follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products.

Responsibilities

Prepare table service for functions as directed by the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server.
Follow written specifications provided by the events department.
Remove equipment following meal service.
Serve banquet functions professionally by serving food, pouring beverages, and handling guests’ special requests in accordance with Morris Inn methods and service standards.
Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food.
Assist with coffee break service at the Notre Dame Conference Center.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition.
