Banquet Server - Part Time

About The Position

The Banquet Server greets, assists, and serves guests at functions and events. Duties may include event planning, preparation, cleanup, serving, and responding to questions, complaints, and requests. The role supports guest comfort and satisfaction by coordinating with kitchen, bar, and other staff, and by helping prepare and restore event spaces.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Courteous and attentive manner with guests.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy weights.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
May need to meet age limits for serving alcoholic beverages.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a server is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they enter a venue and help them find their seats.
Answer guest questions, take orders, convey special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serve food and beverages.
Circulate through the room with trays of appetizers and beverages.
Direct guests to services and venue features, and lead tours of the location.
Assist with event preparation, setup, and breakdown, including setting up and packing away tables, tablecloths, place settings, and buffets.
Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Follow safety and quality regulations.
