About The Position
The Banquet Server provides friendly, energetic hospitality and attentive service at events. The role includes welcoming guests, communicating with guests and teammates, preparing banquet spaces, delivering efficient service from setup through closing, and resolving guest or event issues calmly, involving management when needed. The position is at the Doubletree Hotel Los Angeles Norwalk. A high school diploma or equivalent and related hotel or hospitality experience are preferred; prior banquet service experience is also preferred. Alcohol Awareness and Food Handling certifications are required as applicable under state regulations.
Requirements
- Certification in Alcohol Awareness and Food Handling, as required by state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Prior banquet service or hospitality experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide genuine hospitality throughout the event.
- Connect and communicate effectively with guests and teammates to support smooth service.
- Prepare banquet spaces and attend to setup details.
- Manage time and provide prompt service from setup through closing.
