About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Banquet Captain for Saint Johns Resort. The role oversees hourly banquet food and beverage servers and serves as a hotel representative to banquet guests. The Banquet Captain provides direction and supervision to banquet staff and coordinates room and facility setup, including audio/visual and food and beverage arrangements, to support guest satisfaction, division standards, and profitability. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum high school education.
At least one year of experience in a hotel customer service role.
Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
Outgoing personality.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Team player.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Food safety certification preferred.
Alcohol awareness certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the performance of hourly banquet food and beverage servers and represent the hotel to banquet guests.
Provide ongoing direction, supervision, and monitoring to banquet staff.
Coordinate room and facility setup, including audio/visual and food and beverage arrangements, with a focus on guest satisfaction, division standards, and profit maximization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
