About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Banquet Captain to join the team at Saint Johns Resort. The position is responsible for overseeing hourly banquet food and beverage servers and serving as a hotel representative to banquet guests. The Banquet Captain directs and monitors staff and coordinates room and facility setup, including audio/visual and food and beverage arrangements, with a focus on guest satisfaction, maintaining division standards, and maximizing profits. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school education.
At least one year of experience in a hotel customer service role.
Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
Outgoing personality.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Team-oriented approach.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Directly oversee the performance of hourly banquet food and beverage servers and represent the hotel to banquet guests.
Provide ongoing direction, supervision, and monitoring to banquet staff.
Coordinate room and facility setup, including audio/visual and food and beverage arrangements.
Direct efforts toward guest satisfaction, achieving and maintaining division standards, and profit maximization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
