About The Position

The Banquet Bartender works with hotel Food and Beverage and Catering Associates to provide event bar service that meets quality standards. The role includes setting up and maintaining portable bars, preparing beverages, and using a POS system to ring up guest drink purchases. The position calls for effective communication, teamwork, initiative, and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure situations and varying schedules.

Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills for communicating with guests and associates.
• Previous experience bartending in a high-volume bar.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
• Ability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to accurately memorize drink ingredients and garnishes.
• Enjoy working as part of a team that provides great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Food and Beverage and Catering Associates to ensure event bar service is correct and meets quality standards.
• Set up portable bars with needed garnishes, glasses, ice, requested liquor, mixers, straws, napkins, and other items.
• Maintain bar supplies throughout events.
• Prepare beverages and use a POS system to ring up guest drink purchases.
