Banquet Bartender

About The Position

The Banquet Bartender sets up and stocks banquet bars, receives and prepares beverage orders, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard service procedures and memorized recipes. The role handles cash transactions and maintains an accurate bank, keeps the bar area and equipment clean, and supports banquet bar breakdown and storage. The bartender also greets and communicates with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a bartender preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and stock banquet bars with glassware, ice, liquor, soft drinks, mixers, equipment, and other supplies.
Receive and prepare beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers.
Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and established service procedures.
Operate the cash register, complete transactions according to procedures, and maintain an accurate bank.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment, including removing used glasses and napkins, emptying ashtrays, and wiping the bar top.
Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
Prepare written requisitions and orders for bar stock.
Maintain and replenish the ice supply.
Break down the banquet bar and return unused products to the proper storage location.
Deliver glassware to the washing area and store the portable bar and other equipment in the appropriate location.
