About The Position

First State Bank and Trust is seeking a daytime, part-time Teller to support both the Drive-Up and Lobby Teller Lines. The Teller processes customer transactions accurately, builds customer relationships, and educates customers about bank products and services. The role represents the bank and the communities it serves.

The listed shifts are 9:00 to 2:00 on Monday and Friday and 10:00 to 3:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The position may be filled by multiple applicants depending on availability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be available to work the listed shifts.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Previous experience in banking or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine transactions within established guidelines, including cashing checks, accepting deposits, processing withdrawals, and handling loan payments.
• Count, verify, and handle large volumes of cash accurately during daily transactions and balancing procedures, in compliance with internal controls and security protocols.
• Provide customer service by greeting customers professionally, listening to their needs, addressing inquiries, and handling complaints or concerns empathetically and efficiently.
• Educate customers about products and services, including savings accounts, loans, and credit cards, and cross-sell relevant products based on customer profiles.
• Safeguard customers' personal information and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the bank.
• Remain alert to potential fraud and take necessary precautions.
