About The Position

Kowalski’s Bakery Associates help prepare and handle delicate and savory baked goods while learning the operations of a grocery bakery. The role involves prioritizing tasks, handling food professionally in accordance with health codes, maintaining food quality and safety, and providing hospitable customer service. Associates build respectful, transparent relationships with coworkers and customers through communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. The company provides extensive, in-person, hands-on training to teach new employees to perform their jobs safely, quickly, and efficiently.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Available to be scheduled 20–30 hours per week.
Must have scheduling flexibility and availability between 6 AM and 6 PM; shifts vary daily and weekly according to department needs.
Must be available on weekdays and weekends.
Must have holiday availability.
Comfortable speaking with customers in an energetic and helpful manner.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently.
Interest in preparing and handling food.
Ability to adhere to health codes and sanitation standards.
Interest in product knowledge.
Recognize the ability to positively impact customers’ and coworkers’ days.

Nice To Haves

Food service or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
Availability between 6 AM and 8 PM is a plus.
