About The Position
85°C Bakery Cafe is hiring a part-time Bakery Associate for back-of-house bakery work, with baker and cake decorator positions available. Associates prepare and decorate baked goods to 85°C standards, maintain product quality and sufficient bread supply, and keep the work area clean and healthy. The role includes daily bakery operations such as separating, filling, and baking, and requires teamwork with store management to provide outstanding service and complete assigned work. Associates are expected to be punctual, follow company policies and guidelines, and cross-train in Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar departments. The position requires weekend availability and may involve holiday work. It requires moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, overhead reaching, and bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures in coolers and freezers. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Requirements
- High school diploma or higher.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Acceptable verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent work ethic and teamwork skills.
- ServSafe certification.
- Weekend availability; holiday availability is also required.
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, overhead reaching, and bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
